The weather affects our ability to fish and it also affects the results of our fishing trips. This is my first full year living on the Outer Banks and it's been a humbling experience. I have managed a couple of great trips offshore in my "little" boat, but I've cancelled twice as many. It's blowing so hard now that my deck furniture is beating up against my glass doors! I feel like I am at war with mother nature in an attempt to go fishing...when in fact, she is in charge! It's actually nice to sit back and simply enjoy the power of nature and not worry about if and when the wind will lay down.
I've enjoyed reading this past weeks reports and glad a few have gotten out and caught some tunas! As I sit and wait patiently for the wind to subside, I can't help but think about a full box of SUSHI!!
I hope the weather cooperates for Saturday!!
