Outer Banks

Does anyone know some good areas down by the Outer Banks? Anyone want to make a trip at some point? I've heard down by the Oregon Inlet has some good fishing... I'm going to be down that way in June, but always considering a trip down there. Also, what type of fishing license do i need?

I was camping on the OBX several years back (1998?) and the camper next to me had a kayak and went to OI one morning. After a couple hours he returned with several nice spec's.

I have been wanting to make it down there. If you do not have a 4 wheel drive you can park at the south end of the bridge where the catwalks are and launch from there.

we need to plan a trip.

Also no license is required. I have heard that N.C. will be starting a saltwater license in 2006 or 2007.

Good Deal, I have 4WD just haven't really tested it haha. If I go close to low tide I should be golden. We'll have to make plans for that trip too. But first things first, our trip today got postponed. So we'll have to make up that trip first. Its about the same drive and it doesn't cost 17 for tolls haha. It was nice meeting ya Robert, if I had a garage and a welder I'd build that kayak trailer. I'll look at the foldable trailers and see how easy/difficult it would be to convert it. One day,,, :-)
