Next weekend is the full moon and I plan to spend it on the Eastern Shore. I’m looking for a few hardy souls to join me on a fishing odyssey.
Saturday, meet at Lighthouse Tackle at 5:00 AM. Bait up and head to Fisherman’s Island to target red drum on the shoals all day, and all night.
Saturday night: stay at Kiptopeake Camp Ground.
Sunday: Back on the water in the AM. Target to be determined.
Possibilities:
Return to Fisherman’s Island.
Fish the Concrete Ships for trout, flounder, and tog.
Fish Latimer Shoal for big, black drum.

It's still a bit early over there with the water temps as low as they are. It's worth checking out but I think you need a couple more weeks to bump up the water temps.
Of course if you guys are going to be soaking bait you may be ok but from a flyfishing or plug standpoint the end of the month is usually when things get better if your looking for the Reds.
Watch yourself on the Islands as the birds are starting to nest and the feds will be watching that area closely to run off any that try to walk beyond the surf line.

Ric, are you still thinking about the Eastern shore this weekend. Right now I'm planing to go camping at Kiptopeke friday/saturday night.
