Need help selecting a kayak

I'm ready to try a kayak for fishing. I see a number of kayaks advertised with kick propulsion and a rudder. Since I plan to use this kayak on rivers, ponds, and salt. How much of a problem does the propulsion/rudder system pose with lymestone ridges id the Potomac and when beaching the kayak in the salt.

Would I be better off buying a kayak with a clean slick hull?

I would like to read your views and experience.

I got two Ocean kayaks, one is a single sit on top and the other is a tandem also a sit on top. I do fish with them but I only take the single to the ocean. There are a lots of diffrent boats on the market and you need to know what you're going to be doing with it for the most part. In my opinion, for fishing the Bay or the Ocean you need to be "simple"
