i need to remove the throtle cable from my 2000 evnrude do i disconnect it from the motor or the controls itself any thing i should know thanks for the help also is it worth it to track down some marine plywood or should i just use some sort of pt ply? its just gonna be a crabbin boat with some carpet on it

if you have to remove to get it out of the way to replace the plywood, no you probably don't have to remove it from the control box as long as you can pull it back with enough slack as not to kink it. those teleflex cables are pretty tough and can take some tight turns, just work it slowly and don't force it. I have used standard CDX plywood on boats i had before, i painted it first and carpeted it but the carpet keep it wet and it didn't usually last more than 12 to 18 months.hope this answered your ?. good luck.
