Fished from 7AM till about 4:30PM

Started down @ #8 and worked our way up to #13, of course there were a few circles made over some good marks!

Caught six fish between 18"-38" most fish caught on chart tandems, the 38" hit a 20 oz mojo with a 9" trailer... right on the bottom

Last 24" hit a 4 arm 6" white shad umbrella with a white parachute trailer

Most fish hit in the AM on tandems down 15-20 ft. The 38" and last 24" hit in the PM on the bottom

Tight lines

Glad you got into them good.

If you don't mind me asking, what color bait did the 38" hit on?

I had really good luck on chartreuse in the morning, when it was bright, and almost sunny, but was second guessing myself that I should have put out some white baits once it got cloudy.

Keep up the catching - glad someone caught a big one!

Hit a sparkle head ( green and gold)mojo with a 9" chart shad

This is one OLD bait one of the first I ever bought, and this was the first fish this mojo has ever caught

Almost all the hair is gone...shad runs a little crooked!

But it worked like a charm!

Nova, nice job glad you got out. I know that plenty of big fish have been caught down river but the area around #13 has been good to me this year.

Glad you are having good luck.

Bill,

I have never seen so many big fish in the river. I haven't come in without at least 1 fish over 36" in the past 4 weeks. Today was hard core!!! Lots of wind, rain and waves. I still managed a few between 23-25" and had 5 between 38 and 40". The fish are real scattered so it's not too hot and heavy but it's nice to always be able to pick up a big one. If the water ever cools down and these big fish school up it will be outrageous.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Congrats to all on the "catching" as opposed to "fishing". Seems like ever since the water temp on the Rap has gone below 55 the fish have steady been coming in for sure. I have been having more success this year from 10 to 13 as several others have indicated as well. It is definatly a year "so far" for smaller baits. We have been using 4" storm umbrella's, and small 4"-6" white tandems with good sucess. Was out Sat with 2 neighbors on board and we caught 3 below slot and 1 37" around 10 before the wind started blowing hard.

Last Sunday my wife and I went out for about 3hrs and she caught her biggest fish  (a 38" on a WWB white daisy chain) close to home right behind 12 and a couple of 19's and a 23" between 12 and 13 to fill our quota.
