Anybody catching any big fish? We have had a great season as far as number of fish caught but nothing big yet. I am open for suggestions.

Try a shallow running bait. I always have out an 8" shad way back with NO weight. I also run a stick bait of some sort way back i.e. a wind cheeter or some other type that only dives 4-8'. This has produced almost all of my large fish this season and it has worked well for others too. If you are running a hard bait with trebles make sure the hooks are strong enough to hold these big fish. Early on I had trouble with the hooks straightening out so I put at least 4/0 4x hooks on all my hard baits and ever since I have been o.k.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Went to bouy 68 on Monday stayed there for 6 hours and hooked up three fish. The numbers were 41", 37" landed and another 37" released while trying to get it in the net, not by choice. We had a good day on the water a little cool with a south breeze. We caught all fish using smaller baits. Six oz. buck tails with 6" shads worked best. It took us until mid day to figure that out. Two caught on white one green.

Things are just starting to get going at the mouth of the bay for big fish. Just hope that they come up the bay looking to eat (and that there is something for them to eat) Our best trolling for big fish was the last two weeks of the season last year.
