are you looking for a puller for snoods or straight line? My brother in law made a winder for my straight line that works like a champ... you're welcome to come take measurments and pictures.

Since we can't search on here anymore here's another pic of mine. 600 bucks pulls 4k feet in about 40 minutes. On a full charged battery I could do it 5 times probably more but I've only had to do it 5 times in one day. Works with or without snoods. The guy that sells them in on BCA board if your interested I'll get his info for ya.

If you are pulling 4k does that imply that you are a LLC or somthing? Not tring to pick a fight just asking

I don't know of anyone that has an actual set of plans, I use a pattern made from cardboard for the metal parts, , all the pullers are custom made. each maker has their own design.
you are welcome to take a look at my puller & copy it. I can also help you with sources for the rest of the parts. the ones that I build are the heavy duty stainless steel ones that you see on the commercial boats..
I am in White Marsh

Yes I'm commercial, and it's a LCC Limited Crab Catcher (limited pots, unlimited line, unlimited catch, with Seafood Marketing Surcharge) not a Limited Liablitiy Company as my Landscaping Company is. They are often confused. I wouldn't have thought you were picking a fight just asking a question.

Rj makes nice chit! His are heavier duty than mine but it works for me. My skiff is 22' and it pulls my boat right down the line. If you wanna pull it faster you can detach the mainline from the controls so the line is slack and it will pull much faster. I like going a little slower because it's usually just me and it gives me time to do other things like cull, clean up, and dip those last few buggers on the pull in. Plus it coils pretty good and when I pay it back out it flows right out of the basket.

Bowmovements what size motor do you have on your winder ?

I have all the stainless parts of a commercial winder with mounting brakets already made just add motor/gearbox and sheaves. Was going to move mine to other side of boat but changed my mind don't want to drill another set of holes. $300 if anyone is interested.

Believe it or not it's a windshield wiper motor.

So all you have is the stainless stand that everything mounts to like the one in the pic below? No pedal, gearbox, motor, sheaves, knife, hardware, shims, or battery?

No that looks like it was made from tin by a hack welder and needs a windsheild wiper motor hooked to it. If you were not interested why did you reply? Now I remember why I quit posting here.

WOW I was actually intersted in buying it. For your info the piece above is worth over 600 alone and was made by a gentleman in Cambridge that make dippers. Unfortunately I would say if you have the piece above its well worth 300. And that was a hydro set up. Sorry if I offended.

There are some folks here that have seen my set up and knew me before you were around. If that is worth 600 you should look for a new welder and i should raise my price thanks for the help selling.

I'll let you tell Jim. I think he still reads these worthless posts. I got it with my TFL and was refered to him with the dipper. He makes half the gear you see on rigs. Sorry you feel like you have to bash peoples work your a true waterman.

Never said a word about being a "True Waterman". You started. I'm done. Since you said you are interested $600 for you. I'd introduce Jim to a real welder but he recently passed away. Some on this board met him RIP CHARLIE

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure he was good at what he did. I don't know why you insist on being rude to a person you don't know? And since it's obvious you cant introduce a dead person why bring it up? As far as the waterman part thats apparent because we don't bash each other. Well not over trivial and petty things such as this. So you have a winder because that 1200 foot of line is too much for ya to pull ? Gimme a break. Go ahead and post your last little comment it will fall on deaf ears. I wish someone would weld your hands in your pockets and your lips shut. Useless, 30 posts in almost 7 years and then you post trying to sell something. LMFAO

If you can't say something nice about a guys work don't say anything . The picture posted first just looks like a used part for a puller & I think it would still hold up fine if used . The one posted second looks brand new ,never used I am sure once used a few hundred times it will look kinda dirty to . Its Christmas have a Merry one

Santa can drop either or both of the above at my house and I'd be happy.

No, I'd be very, very happy!!!!

Winter begins in 4 more days. It's going to be another long one from the looks and sounds of things on this board. I suggest we all take one step back and rethink what we are saying and how we say it. Sometimes it comes out NOT the way we really mean it to.

Merry Christmas everyone.

To all who are interested in a puller or dipper. My cousin (part time commercial crabber and is also a professional welder) is not very busy this time of the year and always enjoys side jobs. He has made both dippers and winder stands. He built the dipper currently on my boat. He lives near Tilghman Island if anyone is interested. I'm sure you will be very please with his quality and price. B-mail me for contact information if anyone is interested.

Glad I didn't sell it now. Got a new boat and moved it to the other side where it should have been in the first place. First hole was the hardest to drill then I got over it,

My puller is the same as rj's and it's designed for holding up for years to come. Check it out
