Obdii connector ford f250????

I developed a slight miss in my 97 Ford F250, 4x4,supercab HD, 5.8 gas
so I went looking for the OBDII connector to plug in my code reader & couldn't find the conector--spent about 1/2 hr searching under the dash & under the hood, nowhere to be found, my owners & service manuals don't show the location either.
does anyome know wheere it is hidden on this truck??

If the port isn't under the dash to the right of the column,then the vec is EEC-IV(OBD 1)then they are under the hood,some model's of the 2500's were exempt still in 1997..good luck

I found the EEC IV connector under the hood.
the owners manual that I got with the truck states that it is a OBDII but evidently that is not the case here.
