HRBT this morning

Went before work (ok I went in late.). Anyway, the rockfish and blues seemed to be absent. I caught one rock out of a pod of about 6. Not a single blue. Weeded through 30 flounder to get a keeper at 20". Buttloads of croaker. And a mystery species that we'll keep to ourselves because we know what happens when we talk about this fish.

I fished yesterday's afternoons outgoing and found the same thing, no rocks or blues and only small flounder. Decided to leave early as the storms were building.

Thanks for the report. I was considering trying it this afternoon but may take the flyrod out on the Pocaty instead and save a few gas $ as the put-in is right up the road from the house.
