I went with a friend from outta town and my girlfriend, I managed to pull in two small blues with some fishbites. The fishing was horrible, every person but three I spoke with up there said they didn't catch a thing. I tossed my two blues back, unlike some others who I saw washing off some "keeper" baby blues and putting them in the cooler... I think they had 6, if you can read this, toss those back next time. I wish the regs were enforced on the piers sometimes... its the best way to deplete the fishing stock. One guy did catch a bluefish, about 16-18 inches, he caught it on a minnowlure

Ryan,

The limit on blues is 10 per person per day and no size limit. If you are going to keep a bluefish, the small ones are the best to eat.

Tom,
I didn't know the limit, but these were maybe 6-8 inches,,, thats a pretty small blue even if there are no size restrictions. Plus its a lot of work for a very little amount of fish. Hopefully the fishing will be better soon there.

I keep the little ones all the time but they usually turn into brined strips for Flounder bait. [wink]
