Had myself and friend Maury on board today. We fished the area between # 7 and Point Lookout and picked up 5 fish. We got a 35", 37", 24", 28" and released a 34". Fish were hitting the deep baits and chartreuse color. All fish were loaded with sea lice. The fog got to be thicker as the day progressed. I spent most of the day at the wheel with map and compass as my electronics are still not working. Thank goodness for USCG training!

Is your depth finder out? Was wondering if you saw bait or birds?

Saw a few gannets working this area. I'm having to replace a electronics management box under the dash. I don't have GPS/FF or VHF when this box is not working. Judge is shipping me a new box. My biggest challenge is knowing my speed.

Fished down from you around 3 and had birds working and caught our limit. Fog was real bad for us and my friend's gps/finder was on the blink. Compass and charts got us home.

OT, I had some friends fishing in that area that said there were lots and lots of birds down there. I didn't want to stray to far in the pea soup. Was there any size to the fish you were catching? It's amazing how fast you can get off course in the fog.
