I went out to HRBT this morning, got there at 3:30am. Not much nighttime action, a few striper here and there. I was really looking for trout so I didn't try real hard for striper. No trout. Sun came up. Small flounder and lots of croaker. The best part of the day was when I got up under the bridge right by the rocks at Ft. Wool (S. bound span). Casted a 4" Gotcha trout killer up near the rocks and jigged it off the bottom back to me. That got me a horse croaker on every cast. These guys were fat and 14"-17". Man, they pull hard. The water was like glass today, really pretty sunrise too. I think I will try Lynnhaven next time. Out of the 50 boats out there I didn't see one keeper flounder today.
