Yup....had my limit in about 15 minutes after sunrise....back to the truck and headed home before my coffee was cold.

yep... put in at the wma on the chickahominy. Conditions were perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better wind. Anyway got my spread of about 18 mallards out and the blind up well before sunrise. Had about 15 mallards pass over low enough to shoot but I tried to work them in. I had about 10-15 more flocks of mallards pass by and hardly give me a look. I had a drake pintail circle me 3 times but never came in. Pretty frustrating. I don't want to have to target diver ducks, but it's looking like that's what I'll have to do if I want to get some shooting in.

Great mornin 4 green wing drakes, 1 hooded merganser drake, and 1 mallard. Duckin is gettin good here in DE.

Went this afternoon shot 4 green heads. Should have done much better but the guns had a bend in them. Duck hunting has been slow in va. You can shoot some ducks in areas, but over all slow. If this cold snap does not do it I dont know.

Went for geese this morning got our limit of 12 birds by 10:00, had a pond on the property that had some mallards and 4 drake cans on it, boy they are a pretty bird.

Went for my first single hunt today and it was quite a morning to try hunting alone! Took forever to put out decoys without an extra hand, so i was not set up for shooting light and missed a few flights. managed to kill one drake mallard and called it a day. I also had a group of 12 give me a look but i started calling and they headed on... need to work on that... The piankatank was real messy today. hope everyone was safe

yup, didnt go duck hunting but did get our limit of canadians and one snow. out of there by 10 30

I thought goose was out till the 25th east of 95. Hope everyone knew that bc I saw some people calling geese in Charles city and was hoping they didnt kill any and get a ticket
