I fished Tuesday around 10 for the better part of the day. Marked a ton of bait but only caught one fish that went 23 inches. Got to the ramp at waterview and it was iced over. Decided to put in anyway and break the ice on the way out. Went to start the outboard and the battery was drained. Pulled the battery out of my truck and fired up the boat. Fished all day and 1 fish. Wrapped it up at about 3:00 and no lie, cut a tire on my trailer on Howerton Rd on my way home. Heading to Bass Pro this morning to pick up a new spare, since i smoked the rim not realizing the tire was flat, and was wondering if it was worth it to try it for a few hours this evening. i refuse to accept that this season is over...!!!!

Started fishing yesterday morning above 11 and come through 8. Marked alot of bait but no fish. Heard about a potential bite at 41 so we ran south but again alot of bait and no fish. Headed back to the river to fish above the bridge again marking some bait but no fish. Went to the gas pump and filled it up for most likely the final time this year. Between the weather and scheduling issues....disappointing year. Come on Spring!

striper143, It ain't over until the stroke of midnight on the 1st of January! Fish on. I'll be out there weather/wife permitting Sunday through Tuesday. Heck, I may even get out New Year's Eve if we head down to the river to celebrate the new year......Couple of posts recently about stopping over the bait and jigging. What should you jig with, Stingsilvers or other gear?

Stingsilvers and Diamond Jigs have worked well for us.

A buddy and myself did our annual christmas eve fishing trip today. We had a decent day boating 6 keepers between 20 and 22 inches around bouy 10. All were caught with bucktails on the bottom in 35 to 50 feet of water. No monsters but still a great day on the water. Hope to be back out on Saturday, Good fishing and Merry Christmas to all.

The weather has been unbelievably bad this year. Blow out after blow out. We tried to fish Christmas Eve, but could barely stand up in the boat a couple of times. I hope we get a break this week. Sunday looks to be smooth.

We fished the lower Potomac on the 23rd and got one 38" fish. Fish caught just below the fuel docks on a large umbrella with 32oz of inline weight. Not sure if the weather slowed the bight or if they're thinning out.
