Ric, how early are you launching?
I'm trying to figure out where to go Sat. or Sun. morning. The problem is:
HRBT is sucking.
CBBT small boat channel is sucking.
Lynnhaven? tide isn't right and now they are dredging around the bridge.
Rudee? Haven't been in a while but it sounds like it's sucking too.
I am thinking about Little Creek Jetties. I may try HRBT as the 'go with what you know' scenario.
Anyone have any ideas?

When everything sucks it doesn't matter what you do. Lets do both. Sandbridge on Saturday and First Island on Sunday.

I think I am going to do the flats around Wallaces in Grandview. Since I know everything else is sucking I might as well learn some new water. Who knows, it may be on.....

Ok, when I say 'sucking', I mean that relative to this place or that place. A fishing trip really only 'sucks' when something bad happens like sinking, motor exploding, eaten by a shark, unexpected$$$$$, pissed off wife, etc. I haven't gone out and not caught something decent in a while so I can't complain. I just like to increase my chances by hitting it at the best place, and time with the best tackle and bait that I have for what I'm after. So many choices!

Anybody up for a trip to the flats in Pamlico, I have spoken to a couple of people down that way that are killing the puppy drum and decent numbers of specks.

No, Actually I meant Pamlico and yes I meant going to NC. I have been wanting to go down there anyway. I am game for an all day or overnight trip. If there is anyone wathcing this board form that area that wants to get together for some yak fishing gimme a shout. I will put this on the NC board as well.
