Could some one help clear something up for me?

I have been a member of the CBF for years. I was under the impression that the goal of CBF was to "Save the Bay" and help keep our waters clean.

Part of a post in the TF conservation section indicated they have an agenda similar to PETA. Could someone confirm or deny this? I am all for clean water, but not at the expense of supporting a group that may have a goal of keeping me from fishing. Any pertinent history/eperiences on CBF would be appreciated.

By the way I had some blackened rockfish tonight, makes me want to go fishin tomorrow!

Thanks in advance,
Brent

Virtually everyone I know who works at CBF fishes the Bay and its tribs. I hope this answers your question.

Hi Brent--

I'm one of those CBF'ers Jeff cites above. You bet we fish...and eat at least some of our catch. In face, our love of fishing is why we work at CBF. (Me, I've been fish-obsessed for sixty years.) We want clean water, a healthy Bay ecosystem, and robust fish stocks, so we can fish for the rest of our lives and pass a healthy Bay on to our kids.

Thanks for your support! Help us get the Chesapeake Clean Water Act passed. It's the best opportunity to turn the Bay around that I've seen in my thirty-seven years at CBF. Visit www.cbf.org or b-mail me for more info.
