Fishing Report 12/27 Reedville-Smith Pt

Went out in thick thick fog yesterday at 0730, couldn't see 200 ft at times but by 0900 it lifted to a beautiful day that was warm with winds less than 5 all day. Trolled around bait at 63A all day and ended up with 9 fish, one was 45 at 38 lbs, and one was 42 at 28 lbs...that fish had a small tag in it from NOAA...I called the 1-800 number and they are gonna send me when and where the fish was tagged...at least 10 years ago from what the guy told me. A great day fishing. Hopefully wed and thurs the wind will lay back down for my last two days of the year. There were at least 30 boats around Smith Pt and south all day, many charters from Md. I think these fish are the ones that were up the Potomac and from Maryland as there was very little sea lice on them

Thanks for the report and nice fish.... Sounds like Us Rapp guys either need to go north your way or south past the cell... I headed clear down to CBBT on Sunday to put fish in the box. it was a nice day for a boat ride...

A friend of mine out of Deltaville ran all the way to Cape Charles on Sunday, trolled and eeled, he caught 1 at 35 inchs and a dink. So I'm not sure where the fish are but I admit I was really lucky to get what I caught. I'm going tomorrow to SP area, and can fish again thursday morning. But I've gotta me with my honey at a party that night (New Years Eve) and she'd really like me to make it til midnight. Such difficult choices to make...catching big fish or sex New Years eve.....what would you guys do?

I'd go fishing and then stick it to her the next day. Just my opinion though.

Fished Sunday afternoon near 41A @3pm picked up 2 fat 39" fish and 15min. latter put a 41" in the boat. The 41's belly was sagging and she was covered with sea lice. 2 more knock downs right after that.
Will try again Wed and Thu. weather permitting.

Fished 42 area last Saturday afternoon with no visibility because of the fog. We went one for two. No size 25 inches. Sunday we ran to the cbbt went 2 for 4. The two we caught were under the slot. Were gonna try again Thursday.

Way to go Mike , no problem finding them I see, were they up top down low common mon give up the details , what color jigs or chutes............Bill
