I know this is not fishing related but I thought this might be the best place to get help. Does anyone have a dry suit that I can borrow or rent? This past weekend, I dropped a gun overboard while duck hunting. I didn't notice it going overboard so I don't know the exact spot butI know the general vicinity. Right now the water is too stained to see clearly. It is in about 8-10 feet of water. What I am thinking about doing is on a calm day, lay on the back of a sunfish with my head hanging over the back end with a scuba mask while getting towed around by a boat. If I find it, then I will use a magnet to retrieve it. Anyone else have any ideas?
Thanks,
Ed

I don't think you will be able to see 8-10 feet. If you know the general area, drop a marker and then drag a large magnet in circles and see if you can snag it?

Using a dry suit can be tricky plus very unlikely to see it. Most likely - it is covered by silt.
I think your best bet would be to drop four jugs with heavy weights - forming a square. This way - you can slowly drag the magnet back/forth until hopefully you find it.

I have a dry suit if you want to try it. Fits 5'11" to 6'1" 190 to 225 lbs. You will probably need to use scuba, but a good search pattern will probably get your gun back. You are scuba certified, right? Certification would be a prerequisite.
