Hi All,

Just got home from Kiptopeke. Left a few days early as my boat can't take the kind of blows that are mixing up the water with West winds. Little Boy Blue and I did one tour with East winds and the water had giant ocean swells near the first high rise and near calm in other areas. Kind of boring for most of the day until I got one that should have been in diapers and near the end of the day Little Boy Blue got his. All this while Lanny was getting another Pig! Goes to show that experience and knowledge get stripers boated.

Got to thank Ramrod, Lanny, and Mike Smedley for making my enthusiasm last long enough to rent the room for the month and enjoy being on the water often. My brother from Kansas will long remember his week with me and Ramrod. Steve Smith will too. What a Bubba Cow he got, 58#s!

Thanks to all that helped me this year. Just when I think I know what I'm doing, I find that there's more volumes to learn.

Back to Kerr,

Happy New Year, JTB:clapping 2:

Hi Lanny,

Apparently my house here in Scottsburg objected to being neglected for a month. First, the furnace self distructed just as I was leaving for my doctor appointments in Ashburn, VA. Fortuantely I caught the problem before the house went bye, bye. Critical doctor appointments were rescheduled for early February. Unfortunately, the delay is beyond the availability of annual flu. I'm told that H1N1 is still available, but . . .

So with many nights of 15 degree temps, I finally have the backup oil furnace running. After several days getting it operational, I found my worst fear came true that the water circulation system was frozen. Took a while, but I got it freed. Along with dripping other pipes to keep the water pipes from freezing. This house is going on 70 years and certainly wasn't built for these temperatures. Never had this temp in the almost 15 year living here. So much for global warming. Snow in London?

While I'd love to be fishing on Kerr or anywhere, my body seems to favor warmer weather.

Hopefully I'll be at the Shore Stay Suites next December and if I get information about striper contests, I'll help BISC keep the TFT trophy. Sure wasn't given much info this past year. Wonder how long Ramrod will keep the big fish trophy? He really did good getting Steve on that 58.2 pound Bubba Cow!

More later,

Regards, Joy
