I am looking for a good traditional Brunswick stew recipe. I has a really old one and lost it. I pretty much remember everything that goes in it, just not all of the quantities.

Thanks

Start with whole chickens, add potatos, corn, tomatoes, onions, salt, pepper, butter beans, green beans, corn, some sugar , and flour. Might be missing a few things but this is the basic make up.

Agree with JKAP but delete the green beans and sugar. Boil whole chickens. Remove all skin and bone. Skim off most fat. Add everything else. Slow boil one hour. Use shoe peg corn. Add some Texas Pete but be careful. You don'want it to be obvious to the eater.
