Does anybody over on the east coast paddle Malibu?

Malibus are great boats and im just about the point that they are all i will buy from now on. Although i love my cobra i think malibu is great. I own cobra malibu OK and Mainstream. So the question is does anybody over there paddle a malibu? I love my Xfactor and my eXtreme and just thought id see if yall share this love.

Well Wilderness Systems is made a few miles from here so a few of us are partial to the Tarpon line of boats. Besides the loyalty to locals factor, the Tarpon boats are very well made, and provide an ease of use that is un-matched in my opinion to the type of fishing we do. The seat is comfortable, and there are many positions that rod holders, gps, fishfinders, and compasses can be mounted on. There are the right number of places to store items that are not used while yakking, but are readily available in emergency situations. Its also easy to drag through flats, and tracks through the water very well. But we also have many people, using many different flavors of Yaks, so I'm sure you'll here lots of opinons. Some like Chad have tried many different boats, but right now I see him paddling a Tarpon. Hope that helps.

Yes I own a Malibu Pro Explorer. It is a good yak for fishing out of. Even though it may not be as fast as some of the other yaks out there. It does make a good onee to fish out of. For the stability andstorage room that this yak has is the reason that I got mine in the first place..Plus it offers a dry ride. So there is nositting in water.

i must admit i have a bias toward the wilderness systems too. if for no other reason, i like local products. if malibus were made in the mid-atlantic i probably would have looked at them too.

i agree the tarpon 160 is a AWSOME boat.

I fished a pro explorer for about 7 months and loved it great yak
