Terp, I have a 2002 15 hp yamaha 4 stroke that is mounted as a kicker on the 23' boat I bought this fall. I wouldn't mind getting rid of it and using the $$ for some better strata glass. I know it is larger and probably more $ than you had in mind but call me if interested at 410 353 0300

If in your search you encounter a 2007 8HP Yamaha 4-stroke, serial number 6OR S 1010847 J, please call in the local authorities. That outboard was stolen off my skiff last November. I would love to meet the person who took it.

Guys,
Excuse my niavity. What's a kicker?
I thought most folks had these smaller engines on their boats for emergencies when their main systems went down? How does it work?

use it for trolling when you want to go slow and save gas

Old Hat is that 15" or 20" shaft? Not sure. I think it is a short shaft but I can measure when I get home. You are welcome to call me if interested or want to ask questions. I would like to sell so I don't end up like John G (stolen motor) so I am open to reasonable offers. Locks don't mean much to criminals these days.
Terp, I hear you. What are you using the motor for......trolling or just an emergency back up?

I thought 9.9 and 15 were the same physical. The 9.9 hp is left over from the olden days when there was some regulation about a 10hp limit. I forget what it was exactly.
