After four months and thousands of miles, Kayak Kevin is on the home stretch. Kev called from Salvo where he was planning to spend a couple days weathering this latest blow. He'll be on Pea Island Saturday night and Oregon Inlet by Sunday. He's planning to arrive back in town in two weeks. He's schedualed his return for the weekend of the 10th. I'll probably meet him at West Neck on Saturday and help him get through the West Neck Creek (I prepaddled it this week - it's passable by not pretty). He'll be on the Lynnhaven Saturday night then make the final push to the summit on Sunday. He'd love some company on his last day.
