Tried Fishing Saturday morning, but after a half mile of braking ice I realized I forgot my ice pick. Tried it again today with better results. Caught an 18 and a 21.5, lost one more looked to be a keeper. Managed to snag 6 gar, real proud of that. And to finish the slam, I caught a 3lb. catfish. Rock were really fat. Water was 39 to 42 degrees. Up from Saturday. As the ice was breaking and me and the little man were turning around it was 35. Caught everything on soft baits pulled slooowww in the deep water. Tried trolling and casting rattle traps smithwicks and yozuris but none of that worked.
