Scheduled a day off...for about a week now...got the yak ready, installed the rudder...needed pullage...weather supposed to suck today...we'll see...set alarm for 0530...alarm alarms...lightning, thunderstorms (hey...isnt it November 10th?) wind...go back to sleep...low tide at 1030am at Lesner...mount out at 0800...OJ, AMP and a Powerbar at 7-11 and onto Lesner...approaching Lesner I see badness...whitecaps and nastiness everywear...coming up the bridge a gust I guess 40-45 mph wind caught the yak and nearly ripped it off the roof...bent the roof rails on the Tahoe...nearly broke my arm holding it still till I got over the bridge... get over bridge and into parking lot...well I'm here...walk down to the base of bridge...NOPE..not me...steady wind out of the north-north east at about 25-35 and stouter gusts thrown in, solid whitecaps outside the bridge ...drive home the long way...nap...piddle...look at tide charts...High again at 1600...about dark 1700-1800 it ought to be ripping out again...we'll see...doesnt look like the winds laying down...we'll see...
