We need legal representation and a treasurer. Wish I was smart enough to take on the challenge. I can donate to the cause if someone ever organizes it. Can’t believe there is not a retired lawyer or JAG officer willing to take up the cause. Maybe it is not that simple.

I would say check out The Recreational Fishing Alliance. They & others are helping with the Charters lawsuit against the current Seabass ban. I'm sure RudeeAngler-Skip Feller can help you out as he is involved. They'll need all the help they can get.

35 years? that is insane. I can understand a year or two but 35 years seems ludicrous. What are they basing their figures on?

They try for 35 and hope the lawyers get them 5 years. Just like HatterasTemporay closures that they are now trying to get PERMANENT. Give them an inch.......

I'm beginning to believe that this is a well orchastrated maneuver to close most of the saltwater fisheries. Think about it. Normally the fishing pressure is spread out among the various fisheries. Some people go after black drum while others target sea bass, tilefish, flounder, etc. Now close much of the sea bass season and bottom fishing, add in the shorter tautog season and who knows what's else, and before you know it you are concentrating twice as many anglers onto the other fisheries. The net result is that they become overfished and then closing them is justified as well. It's diabolical I tell you.
