I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to find a used beginners canoe or double kayak.
I live in the Rockville area if that helps. Is $300 an unrealistic looking price?

There are a couple of canoes for sale for $200 in the classified section of this site.
Here is a canoe for $150 in B-more

You can find many used kayaks on this site.

I've never bought or sold a tandem kayak but have sold used single person kayaks for $400 (OK Caper) and $500 (Tarpon 120).
Good luck!

I know you are in MD, but thought I'd offer this up anyway.

Look on the left side of the screen for used boats. They will ship or you can pick up. Good place to shop.
I have put many a paddle in the water with a canoe, but I firmly believe its a lot more enjoyable on the water on a sit on top kayak. wind does not push you around as bas as a canoe, and its really easy to paddle. A good yak will cost 350 to 500 used.
