View Full Version : Polar 1886
Looking at a 2001 and the name appears to have been changed to "Polar Kraft"? Anyone have any good recent info about this line of boats?. They were popular down FL way a while back as I recall but the name and line. They were rough finished inside like the interior of the Carolina Skiffs.

aluminum or fiberglass? We run a lot of polar kraft aluminum jon boats at work. Most last 10-20 years before they're worn out.
The Polar 1886 is a 18' 8'6" flats type boat in fiberglass with a spackle finish inside like the Carolina skiffs. It appears that their new boat line is pretty up scale from the previous models. Found out that Polar Kraft is a different company. Trying to find out if anyone runs the older models. Looking at one in West Point, VA

Beam on the boat is 7'4" and Polar stopped making boats a few years ago. I believe it was United Marine Corp. that manufacturer them.
