Does anyone know of a good compact fishing rod-about 6'- 7' that will hold at least 20# line? I'll be flying to cancun next month -don't want to carry a bazooka through the airport.I was looking at Diabolo 2?

Spinning or Casting, the St.Croix Tidemaster Travel rods are what I use.

The St. Croix's are great I'm sure. I also know Orvise has some in their frequent flyer lineup that fit within your specs.

I use the St Croix Tidemasters too. They are avalable as a blank and have 2 pair I built up as baitcasters. 6 1/2 foot Med, Light weight and 7 ft Med weight. Each set one is a 1 piece and the other 2 piece for travel. You cannot tell which one is the 2 piece when using them.

I have never had an Airline turn them down as carry on.
