Prayers for Kayak Kevin

I went to have my boat pulled out of the boatel today and it slipped off one side of the arm on the forklift landing on the rack, catching Kevin in the shoulder. He had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. I am not sure how bad his shoulder is, but he was in a lot of pain.

The boat sustained minor damage pulling the starboard side rub rail loose. I will have Tynes check it out as soon as possible. I can always replace the boat, but hate to see anyone hurt.

I am sure the forklift operator and the owners of the marina are genuinely concerned, feeling bad about Kevin getting hurt.

Please pray for Kevin's speedy recovery. For those who know him know he's a great guy.

Has the marina offered any compensation?

The grapevine says he's still at the hospital, waiting for either a second checkout by the Dr. or a visit from the specialist (I can't remember), and there wasn't any blood and guts or anything like that, but this may slow him down to the speed of a mere mortal.

I hope that Kevin is well. I saw him yesterday at the CCA show. My prayers are with him. [angel]

From what the grapevine said, it sounded like he'll make a full recovery but might be in some short term pain. But I'm certainly no doctor, and I never spoke to Kev first-hand.

I hope he mends quickly and is catching them in the light-line soon.
