NC DMF violating federal endangered species act/ turtles n gill nets

The Sea Turtle Hospital and the Duke have just filed their suit against the NCDMF and the NC MFC TODAY in Fed. Court. This is clearly due to the MFC's blatant disregard for the Endangered Species Act and the illegal plan they approved this past week.

It's about time someone stands-up and do something. The number of amimals (of all ages) found dead on the beach around O.I. keeps going up and up evey year and they just do nothing about it.

be careful what you ask for. you just might get it. fishermen using turtles to support fishing closures will not end well.

And the ESA is once again used in an attempt to ban something when compromises were offered. I agree with pier-man0909, this will not end well for fishing, either commercial or recreational.
