I need some help! If I bring some guys down the first week of June is that a good time to charter a boat for rockfish in the bay?? Is that to late or to early I don't have a clue.

The large fish will likely have already moved on out. Somewhat weather dependent, but the trophy season starts in VA on May 1st and runs to May 15th. May 16th - June 15th is the "spring season" - you can keep 2 smaller fish. My recommendation is that you go as early in the season as you can if you're after big fish. Season opens on April 17th up in MD waters. I'm sure the charters are anxious to be booking trips. Good Luck! If you post where you plan on fishing out of, the guys on the board can recommend some good charter captains.
