I was able to get a decent sst shot today and it looks as if the stream has pushed waaaay overboard out of OI. As of earlier in the week the OI fleet was catching the bluefins as far north as the 420 line. Based on the sst shot the water at the 420 is in the mid 50's now. What do y'all think this change in the stream will or has done to the location of the fish? Do they scatter or push waaaay offshore or are they still comfortable in that temp?

Well, the stream is still way offshore from OI so we will be fishing out of Hatteras on Monday. There are a few OI charter boats booked for Sunday. It will be interesting to see how they do and how far they have to run to find the fish.

I ran into BFTs two weekends ago from 55 to 65 degree F on the same day.
No idea where they might be now, but if I had to guess (running from HI) I would get to 300 line and go from there. Got a smaller one in shallower water (~360 ft) but bigger ones seemed to be deeper (800-1200 ft)water. When I was out, I saw lots of OI fleet along 300 line in 1,000 ft of water.
It looks like it will pretty nice on Monday, so you guys will have no problem running around to find them. It might really help you if you a pretty good FF with 1KW+ transducer, when working deep water.
