Disposing of/parting out an old trailer - title issues?

I have an old (1988 I think) Long single axle galvanized roller trailer. 3000 GVWR if I remember correctly. Got it a few months ago with a late 60's 18' Perdue flats boat that I bought for $200. It has a fair amount of rust on parts of the frame and one of the fender and mounting bracket is bent up pretty badly. Needless to say it's not worth the $80+ Maryland wants for me just to title it. So, I'm curious as to what my options are for disposing of or parting out this trailer and making sure the title is cleared from the previous owners name. Anyone have any advice?

Call the MVA and ask them. As long as you do not abandon it there shouldn't be an issue for the former owner. You can cut it in pieces and take it to the landfill or if you can drag it there is a place in Balt where you can scrap it and get a few bucks for the metal.
