There is a loosely organized bunch of catfishing derilicks that I am proud to be a part of. The Old Dominion Catfish Club is having its 3rd annual Spring Luncheon under the Pavillion at Osborne Landing. We have it reserved all day but lunch will take place from 12:00 noon until about 3:00 PM or so.
Check us out at olddominioncatfishclub.com
On the website main menu there is a section that talks about the Spring lunch. Tickets can be purchased online or you can mail a check.
This is a great event.
We have guys that are doing demos.
One of the Licensed guides will be there also giving a talk on how to fish the James.
I always lurk around begging spots off whoever I can.
This is something that if you are planning to try for trophy cats on the James, then this is a great place to start. Great eats and good company with some of the top catfisherman on the James. Plenty of time to fish before and after the lunch.
We picked this date on purpose. The first of April is the best time to be on the Tidal James near Richmond. The Big Cats are biting, There are so many Hickory Shad in the river, you can walk across there backs. Huge plus is you have a great chance to catch a trophy Striper also as they bite on the same thing you fish for catfish with. Cut Shad!
So come to the luncheon, everyone is invited. Please sign in as we need to know how much food to bring. Go to olddominioncatfishclub.org sign up for lunch and check us out.
