i am thinking about buying a kayak for excersise. cant really think of a better way to excersise than on the water, get tan and fit at the same time. i know absolutely nothing about them. i am experienced on the water and with fishing. live on rock creek off the patapsco river. is this something fairly easy to get into? im sure if i liked kayaking that id try fishing from one too. why not? what kind is best for bay waters? any info is appreciated as i know nothing. id like to keep the yak price under $800 if possible. if you had to start from scratch what would you buy?

Autumm Sky,on rte.1 towards Conowingo will rent you a Kayak for $30.The
$30 is subtracted from the price of a new one when you decide which one you like best. They have Tarpons,Ocean Prowlers etc,SOT(sit on tops) are favored over SOB's(sit on bottoms) because they are more stable and self bailing.
