Took the yak down to the beach for a week launched out of Lynnhaven Inlet and tried to master this new fishing apparatus. Headed out after the rain slowed down on Wednesday and went back into the marshes with the incoming tide and found a nice set of oyster shoals to hit. First cast got a 14" flounder, third cast a 21" flounder. Not much more happened so I assumed they had moved and drifted the channel and got a croaker.
Couple of lessons I learned - they all seem bigger in a yak, I really need to simplify my rigs as I kept hooking the boat.
