He's over 28 inches, but I had no scales.

Thats a hell of a fish. Thanks for the pic. You should post on the Bass Board and maybe some of those guys can give you weight estimates.

Very nice bass!!!!!!Someone told me Lenth X Girth square divide by 800. Example 20" bass X 14 " girth (196) divide by 800 should give you approx 4.9 LB. I hope this helps. Anyway very nice bass!!!!!!! I hope you are C & R [grin]

I'm pretty familiar with the formula, and have caught bigger fish, but never one that big in my kayak. I really need to be disciplined about measuring when I get big fish like this, but I usually am in a hurry to get them back in the water.

holy sh!t, That is a mondo bass, congrats. I would have pissed my pants if i caught that thing, Looks like shallow water too which ads to the excitement[grin]. That thing could have swallowed whole the biggest bass I have caught[tongue]

15 feet deep with 12 feet of grass. He dove straight down in it too. I love powerpro. They have since closed that area to fishing since they saw people were enjoying themselves.
