Several WKFA members are hitting the Wall again tomorrow morning, if anyone wants to join in. We have been getting a lot of flounder action there. It's near the mouth of the James River. Tanner did well there today on the fly!

If you want to go, call me for directions, or go to the forum on our website, under Next Outings:

Way to go Joe getting the slam!!! It was fun fishing with you and Scott. Flounders, stripers and croakers abound!

A nice sleigh ride at the previously mentioned location! You can see the wake behind the yak. It was a couple hundred yard tow, then litterally broke the hook in half!

Neighbor caught 60+ pound black drum in that area. Maybe that was your culprit!!

Very possible...
A friend of mine grew up just down the street from there, and said he used to catch lots of sharks near there. Well, a big momma drum was my first thought too. I could feel the head shake, and it took a 180 degree turn on a dime, which makes me think it was not a large ray. I will never know for sure, but there's always next time. Last Sunday Kayakfishgirl went there, and had tons of massive readings on her fishfinder, but the biggies didn't bite.
It's a great spot, except for quite a bit of trash in the water near the shoreline.
