I am planning a morning trip friday. I would like to launch about 6am from Sandbridge (park at the bend on Sandfiddler or the pier parking lot, if it is open that early). I would like go for cobia if anyone is interested. I have heard they hang around the bouy about one mile straight out from the pier. I would not think of doing that alone, but would be game if there are any takers.

If not, I am going to see what I can find beyond the surf. I can be flexible and normally I am prepared to adjust to whatever is biting.

I have been out of the loop for a while due to my triplet boys (just over a year now) and have some time off this week. I can only get away until about noon. If anyone has launched there lately and has suggestions, I am open to hear them.

Reply here if interested and we can work out the details.

Good luck Skinny - please post a report. And hats off to you and yours - I'm sure triplets are a handful.

Trevor and I hit the water about 6:30am. Trevor set out a chum bag and we trolled the slick for a while. I had one hit by a blue that bit my storm in half and I set a stinger on the next. Unfortunately, that was the only interest in anyrhing I did all morning.

We caught a few small croaker and live-lined them while we anchored at the chum bag. We saw nothing. Just me, Trevor, and then porpoises.

Around 11:00am we trolled south down False Cape looking for any signs of life. We saw some bait breaking the surface but could not get anything to bite.

We braved the surf and called it a day back on the beach around 12:30pm. I was good to be on the water regardless of the bite (or lack thereof). I plan on targeting cobia several more times before they are gone
