I was wondering where i could possibly fish for shad from shore in downtown Richmond. I'm going to school at VCU and could really use some relaxation time by catchin some fish. thanks.

You can fish from the old sea wall right on the river at Ancarrow's Landing park. google it.

try off the rocks or banks at belle island also.

Cross the mayo bridge, park in the lot on the right for the flood wall. path leads down from mayo bridge to along the river.
wear good shoes--lots of walking on sideways rock piles.

FYI....You won't be able to cross the Mayo (14th St.) Bridge from April 4 - 22.....the City is doing maintenance work on the doors for the Floodwall.
