These are shots which I took while doing an art show with my wife in Whitestone. I thought that they might be of some interest to the Northern Neckers.

I realize that the Menhaden Fleet is controversial. All that aside....the boats are good fodder for photography and the area is marvelous.

Those are awesome shots. New to this thread curious what kind of telephoto you using ? I have a 55-200 but need to get something larger to handle some of the distance shots, quality is great on those, be interested to see what your using! Fairly new to the SLR world, have a d5000, learning alot! Tried to find a class but with little sucess, more interested in hearing from the people that can take the good shots! Any and all advice is appreciated!

A 100-400 Canon on a 50D. 28-135 on an XSi or 40D.

What photo editing program do you use? I am sure you have answered this a few times already but couldn't find it. I am looking into either buying lightroom or elements, any suggestions.

Thanks

I use PS3. It's Light Room with the bells and whistle's. I edit from RAW and then finish off with TIFF format.
