Charts?

Trying to find charts that can help me offshore this year. Hear of people talking about 300 line, 280 line... kinda got me clueless. Anyone recommend any charts.

Here is a good site that will show you the loran lines: http://marine.geogarage.com Go there and choose "Charts & Routes". On the upper right hand side of the web page, you will see "Map Content" choose "NOAA", click "paper" and move the slider to the right. you will then see all the lines on the map. If you zoom into Oregon Inlet, you will see a line, follow that line to the first number. that number is "40600" use the last 3 digits... you are at the 600. Pretty easy to follow. If your chartplotter does not give loran lines, you can make waypoints on this map of where the 300, 400, 500 etc lines cross the 100 foot mark and then in the lower right hand side, there is a "Save as GPX file". Save that, import that into your chart plotter and you will have a good idea where fish are being caught. The same applies to the vertical lines as well, the last 3 digits. Hope that helps.
