Trying to find out who sells the best deck/fishing chairs for the back of my center console. My wife wants me to make sure I can install a fishing gimble on at least one of them. I want some thing that can hold up. Is stainless worth the extra over the aluminum?

Sounds like you want a fighting chair. It is secured and doesn't move.
If you do get a deck chair, I hope the 50 lb rock doesn't pull you out of the boat!
Looks like you are going to be plunking down $275 if you get stainless and the gimball.

Pulled in a nice 45 last week standing up the whole time. Just looking for added room in the back when I don't need the chair. I looked at the gimble and don't know if it will fit just any chair. Will call the store today. thanks

I just got the new West Marine catalog yesterday and the Aluminum Deck chair is sale priced $30 off the regular price. If you wan the aluminum one, now might be the time to pick one up!

I use an old deck chair as a fighting chair on my walkaround. I love it. Works great for kids or folks that are not experienced with stand up fighting. Works well in rough seas too.
