I went to grease the lift on my outboard and found I could not reach two of the grease fittings. I figured I'd replace the zirc fitting with an angled one. Now all I need to know is if they are metric or not. Anyone have an idea? Boat dealer was no help. Also are they stainless?

Put one on my Yamaha F150 yesterday. It was a 6mm (metric) zirc fitting. Mine was broken off.

Dont forget the grease fitting behind the prop. 225 f/s

If it doesn't have one, a flexible hose on your grease gun might also help. Works for me with the straight fittings on our Yamaha.

metric made out of brass or stainless so they wont corrode.

just asking, did you try to turn the motor one way or the other and raise it too?

The reason I can't reach the grease fitting is because the hydraulic steering cylinder is in the way and it won't move enough to reach the fitting. and amgled fitting will fix the problem.

that is the same way mine is. I just played with the tilt and the steering and was able to reach both.
