Spring fishing vacation 4/17-4/24

Looking to fish Hatteras inlet, inside and out, and the Pamlico Sound back to Frisco and Buxton. Open for suggetions on fishing natural bait or artificals. I'm not looking for specific locations just a general idea of what to use for what's in the water this time of year. We usually don't get down to Hatteras until the Fall.:fishing2:

Just got a report that red drum are from Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet. You can catch them jigging and casting bucktails. All are over 27", most in the 40" range so you cant keep them. Have fun!

We just fished the Pamlico around Buxton for two days and didn't have a bite. There was a school of puppy drum inside Hatteras Inlet a week or so back, but fishing pressure broke up the school. Puppies are still being caught. Try Gulp Alive! shrimp in Pearl White or plastics on a jighead or spinnerbait.
