Who uses them? And do you have any cool pictures to share?
I have a "Non-Typical" Deer cam and have plenty of deer but nothing special....

It don't matter he has 4 legs and moves around, but let me ask you this...every year you photo some really nice deer but we don't get that exact buck. Where do they go? Ghost bucks I guess.

You got me.We have only killed one that I know I got a picture of.He had two sticker points and I jumped him less than 100 yds from where I took the pic with the trail cam.
I'm getting a roll developed today.Hope I get some good pics.

When they know they're being filmed, add still video feed in freeze, and so you see the same buck over and over while the others sneak past unobserved...

I just can't see spending $400 for a good scouting camera. Seems like it would kinda take some of the fun out of it.
I too have a friend how has taken many photos of MONSTERS but has zero to show for it. I haven't seen any of the pictures though.

Ketch, Congrats on the firepower for the little guy, I hope you didn't get much yakkin from the wife like I did. But anyway I love the camera almost as much as hunting it's not as messy and really with the pressure in the woods of Va. the chances of killing a deer you photographed is slim. Last year I photographed 6 different bucks on this one scrape with in a week but never saw one during the legal shooting times. So it may give some the advantage but I am not convinced, It is just another reason for me to be in the woods.

I don't own any trailcams. I guess I like being surprised by that buck when he comes in.
I would be careful not to burn out my spots with human scent while moving them around.

Hook I think you're right the more you are in the woods the more chances you have of Spookin' them..Most of the time we put the cams in common congregation areas for deer, road crossings, food plots, fields, trail. Feeders or corn piles also help bring them in...not to kill but to photograph before and after the season.

I agree that it adds a new dimension to the hunt. It might make you sit in the stand longer on the slow days, knowing whats walking your around area. Postup some pics.

Just got back a roll of film from my cam that was out since 8/7, only 3 deer one looking right into the camera all you can see is head and ear they sure are curious I have got them before like this. 2 others were slicks, a few coons, a whole bunch of turkeys and a few buzzards. Better luck next time.

put one out on sunday along a trail that leads to one of my stands on the family farm. Jumped a dz. deer in an nearby thicket and another about 50 yds from the camera...I think the deer use the trail rather often so might go get teh cam tomorrow and see what I have. It's a wildlife view,I think...$89.99 at basspro and it's digital. It seemed to be a little late with the shutter when I tested it at home.
will post some pics if I get anything decent.
