I have built some ladder treestands and was wondering how other people are attaching them to the trees. I used a chain and a turn buckle and tightened it up as tight as I could but it still moves some on the tree. Any suggestion on better ways or how are the stands that you are using built?

Ratchet straps. I use them on my Strongbuilt 15' ladder stands. I also use an additional nylon strap to tie it to the tree as well. Double security.

2nd Rachet Straps & you might try a brace 1/2 way up from the ladder to the tree so the ladder doesn't flex.

Ratchet straps - be sure to inspect them each year, though. The weather will wear on them.

Once again.....Ratchet straps are the only way to go. I also cut a notch in the stand where it meets the tree that makes it even more secure when pulled tight.
