2003 Yamaha 200 HP

Runs like a doll 35 minutes to bay then when i slow her down to set up my spread and troll, maybe 45 minutes of being at this speed, the over heating alarm sounds.

I then shut off engine for a minute and can troll another 30 mins till alarm sounds. Again let her cool and run back to dock without a peep.

Had her turned up by Tri-State September of 2008, during which they replaced impeller.

Talked to their service people and they recommended bringing the boat in.

Just wondering if anyone had similar issuses or thought before i call them back?

Thanks

Sounds like either your waterpump is getting weak or your thermostat is sticking closed.

If it's a four stroke..could be the corrosion issue Yamaha has.
